Many Great Pumpkins were Sacrificed making this Pumpkin
OK so I just opened up a can of Pumpkin puree, but I cannot be a pacifist when it comes to this bread. It is scrumptious and must be made all year long *shaking fist in the air and adding a bit of jazz hands*, not just for the holiday season. It is BETTER then the Pumpkin Bread currently at Starbucks, yes I said it! *SNAP* This is not my recipe but from a friends Renegade Chef file, who

Christmas is the season the Gingerbread Café was made for…but owner Lily couldn’t be feeling less merry if she tried. She’s spent another year dreaming of being whisked away on a sleigh-ride for two, but she’s facing festive season alone – again. And, just to give her another reason to feel anything other than candy-cane perky, a new shop across the road has opened… Not only is it selling baked goods, but the owner, with his seriously charming smile, has every girl in town swooning.
But Lily isn’t about to let her business crumble — the Gingerbread Café is the heart of the community, and she’s going to fight for it! This could be the Christmas that maybe, just maybe, all her dreams – even the someone-to-decorate-the-Christmas-tree-with ones – really do come true!

Welcome to the last week of hardcore baking time before the fat man cometh! Mama’s Kitchen Mondays has a special treat! I have a special guest who wrote this lovely little Novelette, Christmas at the Gingerbread Cafe, a sweet and savory contemporary romance. When I saw this I thought how fun to do a review for my recipe feature! After reading the story I knew exactly what recipe I was going to do! Heck they even make
I love baking for Yule and Christmas! I have not been able to do this year everything I would like too, but since we get to spend Christmas at the Ninja Warming station on Fort Hood (the folks who kept us safe during the winter storm and who I made special Frostie Floats for), I will get to bake more than I expected. HOWEVER, I usually do but these little dandies which are one of my favorites!

Traditions (perfect question for a holiday interview)
Wow, starting right off with the dirty secrets. We’re not messing around here, are we? Okay—I always work in my pajamas. I get up in the morning, take off my sleeping pajamas, and put on my working pajamas to do my writing and editing. No lie. Favorite pajamas – sock monkeys. With matching slippers.
Also, I love country music. (Is that a dirty secret? To some people I know, it is.) One of my favorite country songs ever is Blake Shelton’s “Austin” because it’s super-sappy. I also love to sing
Welcome to PART ONE of my Bitter Snow tour posts. I am really thrilled because the author also agreed to do a second post with me and we are interviewing tomorrow, and there are some very special questions and answers exclusive to this wonderful series. Bitter Snow Vol. 1 is out just in time to fill up your teens and your own e-readers for Christmas! Today I am excited to have a one of my infamous REVIEW & a RECIPE posts along with the new Monday feature, Mama’s Kitchen Mondays! Make sure you read all

You know your life has hit rock bottom when you’re living off cooked rats and showering once every few months—if you’re lucky. But for Jackson Hart things are about to get a whole lot worse. When her best friend, Tye, disappears hunting for food, kick-ass Jackson’s ‘head south to safety’ plan looks like it’s dead before it’s even begun. But then she meets ex-mechanic Luke Granger, who takes her to his bunker, feeds her with non-rat based food, and offers her protection against the zombie hordes—not that she needs it. She knows how to use a machete and isn’t afraid to.
Jackson was tempted to stay in the city with her rescuer. Food, shampoo and the possibility of finally getting laid, what more could she ask for? But the flesh eaters are getting smarter and the bunker is compromised, so Jackson and Luke have no choice but to make the journey south
Luke and Jackson team up to find other humans in a road-trip romance for the ages. They travel for thousands of miles with zombies shadowing their every move. They must utilize every resource at their disposal…and then some. On the way, they discover that even if flesh eating zombies are knocking down their door, there’s always time for sex and even love.

I want to thank everyone who has been so supportive during this time for me. We are currently homeless till the power is on again
, and though I am posting, it is only because I have wonderful supportive people who have taken us in. Our cat seems to be OK, poor Asrielle, and Geoff is sleeping, but I am wide awake because I cannot sleep well in other places. Hopefully I can get this out before I have more issues. We do not expect to be back at
