From one Alaskan to another…
Welcome to Cabin Goddess, Tam Linsey!
If you could travel in a Time Machine would you go back to the past or into the future? Tough one. While the past might be a safer way to go because we know what to expect, I think I’d take the plunge and see the future. Imagine what people who lived a mere forty or fifty years ago would think if they were able to travel forward to right now. Back then, calculators that could add were cutting-edge (not to mention bulky!) What would they think of our smartphones with GPS tracking? Totally sci-fi. I can only imagine what inventions might come along in another forty or fifty years. I’d love to see a holographic television. Or a matter transporter!
Teaser Tuesdays No. 21
What more could you ask for on a Tuesday! Wisteria by Bisi Leyton, another YA book I actually read, am reviewing and loved! (totally lucking out with my books lately!)
Teaser Tuesdays No. 18
Teaser Tuesdays is a weekly bookish meme, hosted by MizB @ Should Be Reading (she also hosts some other great memes) . Anyone can play along! Just do the following:
- Grab your current read
- Open to a random page
- Share two (2) “teaser” sentences from somewhere on that page
- BE CAREFUL NOT TO INCLUDE SPOILERS! (make sure that what you share doesn’t give too much away! You don’t want to ruin the book for others!)
- Share the title & author, too, so that other TT participants can add the book to their TBR Lists if they like your teasers!
That look says, ‘Hi I’m Randall Lee. I;m suppose to be an acupuncturist, but its amazing that I get anything done because I;m usually to busy tryin’ to make time with my smokin’ hot, ultra sexy girlfriend AND sticking my big American nose into shit that is not even my business…”

I am looking back on last week when it was not raining like it is today, I was no sniffling from another summer cold, and I am not whining because no longer am I on vacation, however lame it was. At least I felt a little freedom! I want to be back out on my porch reading today, barefoot and in the sun!
Sunday Shorts – No. 17
SUNDAY SHORTS will be going on vacation for a few weeks after this. I will re-working it and changing some things. It will be coming back with a new name, a new button and a clearer definition. I have talked to a lot of the participants and others and have come to realize many of you guys are not sure what I am going for and so I am going to make it even more spectacular and more clearly defined!
What a great Wordless Wednesday Gift I received! There are bad days, weeks and then there are great and magical moments. Today I had one of those purtiful magical moments at the cabin! As I had no caterpillars last year, this was a nice surprise. Apparently they know I need to be altered with the very least a smile. I love Alaska! My Mr. Caterpillar as also a lackadaisical guru who helps me figure out how to control the imaginative world … at least he did this morning. Plus he is so fuzzy and cute!
