More than Figments
Figments, smigments you are either real or your not, I mean, wait.
Welcome to the Wicked Wildfire Beach Soirée
I see many of you on the outskirts, clutching your Kindles, Books, your laptops and a myriad of other things you rescued as your quickly escaped the path of the wildfire that encroaches upon our little reading community. But alas my friends, I give you an evening of festiveness, a time to relax and enjoy yourself! For since this is an evening affair, I wave my magical snow spoon casting perpetual twilight upon our party beach front, the tiki torches will never need filling and always illuminate your reading. Our cabana boys will always have what you need, even if you just think it! As you can see, I have towels for each of you, changing tents for you and your date to change in, please sign the guest list and tell me who you have brought and what they are wearing. Add a link to their photo so we have a virtual scrapbook of this moment forever held in time.
OH dear, apparently a dead body washed up but thankfully Katherine Nabity over at The Writerly Reader had brought Sherlock Holmes and was able to get a quick handle of the situation. Thanks Kat! So glad to have had you there! The gremlins at Random.org thought so also because.. wait for it… wait for it…
OH my it was fabulous. EVERYONE’s was! I suggest you go and check out everyone’s entry! Katherine’s Entry can be read here, plus Sherlock’s outfit is FAB! Oh and it was not a Shark Attack! Perhaps it was Luke’s brothers evil side of the family, they are brilliant and since each side of the Tuatha de Daanan are in the middle of a war, well they could make a gun shot seem like a shark attack or vice versus.
(each entry was assigned a number and thank you random.org for making my first experience a painless one)
THIS CHALLENGE runs from 4PM Friday – 4PM Saturday
- Your perfect beach (from a book, or a place or a cover)
- Your perfect date (provide a link to cover or book)
- in your preferred swimwear (description, or link to image or cover)
- With your first choice of books to read (title with link to book or to cover)
ALL OF THESE can be put below in the COMMENTS or a LINK TO YOUR POST please.
When participating, you only have to read. However, it’s always fun reading starting posts and updates on your progress throughout the event! Even settling with a wrap-up post only to show how the reading went when it’s over, is fine.
I may have missed out when I signed up for this with my Book Bloggers Collaborative clan, but I had faith that with one of the four letters I had somehow I could fit Bacon into the subject, and because of a complete Zen moment in my little kitchen, I found it!
How many of you are sitting in line or have already bought your tickets for the Hunger Games? Geoff & I usually wait till Sunday so I have some time to kill and I also have a bad habit! I love free ebooks! I cannot stop, I read each description and if I like it, CLICKETY CLICK and my Kindle purrs in happiness!
I currently receive one email a day from Ereader News Today and Pixel of Ink
Then I head over to this Lens at Squidoo!
I am trying to add them in certain folders and shelves on Goodreads but who knows one day maybe I can organize them so I can start knowing what I have!
ANYWAY today was a GRAND day for finds! I think it has to do with the Hunger Games release because Dystopian fiction is on sale for Amazon‘s Kindle Daily Deal, and the freebie books are all dark and brooding.
Please enjoy this excerpt from the urban fantasy novel, The Day of First Sun. Then read on to learn how you can win huge prizes as part of this blog tour, including $450 in Amazon gift cards, a Kindle Fire, and 5 autographed copies of the book, also continue reading to see how you can help me support my hosting domain and my book habit (grin)
