Ted volunteered for the mission because, after all, it was just a routine trip to Mars. What could possibly go wrong?

In the deepest, darkest reaches of space, one must fill the vacuum, the void, the emptiness. Yet do we humans have the "psychological stuff" for deep space travel? If not, we may end up like Ted.

Take what you know about mythology and throw it out the window...

Do you have any idea what Zeus, Odin, Pandora's Box, Atlantis, Machu Picchu, Hera, Nike, Dragons, Vlad, Clones*, and Vampires have in common? Athine does!

The Daughter of Ares Chronicles follows Athine as she uncovers the secrets of her destiny while interacting with key figures from many mythologies. Athine is not your ordinary immortal born goddess. Learn of her mysterious origins, learn why Zeus hates her so much, find out where vampires come from, and learn what really happened to the dragons.

Contains books 1-4 at one incredible price! This allows you to catch up on all the action in preparation for the next book Cursed Bloods (Winter 2014).

*Clones-for a full understanding of this also pick up The Secret of Genetic Corp X.

Today I welcome someone whom I have worked with before and today I am thrilled to be just another stop on her virtual book tour with Bewitching VBT. She took the bait and dove in with all ten dirty fingernails – keep reading ;) – I had a lot of fun with this one. Usually I get to play with the food, but this time I got to play with a huge casting call! For someone who claims she stinks at casting, she knows how to pick them! Thanks for being on at the Cabin today, Shannon! Maple Bacon Praline cookie? *smiling* sit a spell and enjoy a marvelous Alaskan afternoon while your fans and new readers find out even more about you!

CG -Tweet the book: You are challenged to tweet a synopsis of the book to include your tweet handle, GO! (Has to fit in a tweet, I will be adding a custom tweet button at the top of post. You can and are encouraged to include #hashtags)

Take what you know about mythology and throw it out the window!  Follow @obsidianpoet into the realm of her immortal born #Athine.

CGIntroduce yourself to the captive audience that you now have before you. (As in tell us something NOT in your bio, give us a dirty little secret not having or having to do with your writing)

I used to be a mechanic and worked on cars.  I often came home dirty :)

CGIs there a genre, other than the one you currently write in, that you wish you could break into? (If you want you can – I would love it if you did – a max flash fiction of no more that 500 words with the prompt of “LIGHT” since summer is here (Yes this could work with romance, mystery, humour, textbooks on quantum physics.. own it, title it and GO!)

I’d like to break into all of them.  :)

Who do you invite to a writer’s intervention? (Fourth-Wall Friday)

Just when you thought it was safe to have a birthday…I got this text message last night, it was a ninja like invite from an unknown number. Like one of those Rave invites or Friday night shows you see papered the day of all over downtown PDX for some show at some random local.  All it said was, “Charles Coylott – good blogging fodder – 9/7/2012 – 2 AM.” Curious, I clicked over to his Facebook page, of which I stalk follow, and saw his birthday was happening on the 7th. I figured it maybe a cool surprise birthday party and possibly some really good gossip, or a shot of him doing a keg stand with an alpaca. On the way over I grabbed my birthday present I ordered and as soon as I entered settled into a corner table to await the birthday boys arrival… boy was I in for a treat!

The Mancode: Exposed by Rachel Thompson

I am kicking back today with a Cabin Goddess Bacon Bloody Mary, a bag of Lindt Truffles & the ManBeast tethered to his gaming console to give me time to read in peace. I recently featured three great ladies in their Dog Days of Summer Sale and featured both Ann Charles, Terri Giuliano Long as well as Rachel Thompson, (to follow).  I had a blast on the radio show with them and really am glad I know these three great ladies.

*swirling my drink with a green bean wrapped in crisp bacon* I ended up getting a lovely flu and decided that vodka, bacon and a nice plateful of home-fries will be the cure that ails me this morning. Later I will be found hiding with my Kindle giggling as I spend at least an hour reading selections from The Mancode: Exposed  while sitting on my pity pot!

This is one of those great books you can pick up and turn to a page and just start reading. It is full of a great collection of essays and is one I think we all need to have in our arsenal! I keep coming across things that make me laugh so hard enough I start snorting, and if anyone has talked to me live, once I start snorting there is no stopping me! SO check out my post HERE and grab Rachel’s book or any and all of the THREE books by THREE fabulous ladies. You may have missed the sale, but that does not mean I won’t be yodeling from the top of the mountain tops to state “BUY THESE BOOKS!”

(Make sure you check out The Indie Exchanges Blog Talk Radio SHOW SPECIAL Spreecast on Rachel’s channel. OMG it was the Charlies Angels on Literary Crack for the WIN! I will embed the shows below but now? Let’s talk about snark!)
