Not that I have ever announced it but if I sign up for a review on a tour I pick Monday’s to go with recipes or Thursdays for my review… don’t ask, I have no clue why but today is one of those days! Novel Publicity offers yet another wonderful book by EVOLVED PUBLISHING, Shatter Point. I am not totally sure how I feel yet, being sick (yes again people) I ended up starting it again last week and have had weird and disturbing dreams. He is a good writer, but man oh man it had some triggers. Let’s read about the book (oh and there is a Giveaway too!)

Honoring Veteran’s Day

I am really excited to be posting a piece from Irish Winters today. You may remember the wonderful article on PTSD I posted during her Harely tour. The series’ characters are soldiers and Irish is very much involved in the support of veterans and active duty soldiers. In doing so she also had an oppurtunity to visit the Middle East Conflicts Memorial in October of this year, 2014. We have lost so many soldiers to these conflicts. As a former military wife I have lost many friends and others who are living with missing limbs. In fact one of my closest friends from when I was a wife, her husband lost his leg. He still is serving proudly.

Just in time to read in front of the fire with a cup of cocoa or your favorite hot beverage, J. J. Lyon’s fun private investigator mystery, with a twist, TRUTH is RELATIVE; the first in the A Truth Inducer Mystery series is here. A giveaway, great posts, reviews and best of all? Fun! My post today is pretty fun. I am really hooked at authors sending me their Top Ten Comfort Food lists. I have really had fun creating new recipes, adapting others and digging out old classics. Today’s was inspired when I re-read the first line in this book; “The Monday before Thanksgiving, my car disappeared… ” and by my theme of comfort foods and vices while writing. The book is in my TBR but before I posted I read a the first couple chapters and can tell you right now I am going to love the read if it continues in this manner. Thanks J. J. Lyon!

Two of my favorite people ever! I fell in love with the first book when Llewellyn published it a long time ago and now they are back with book number two. Check out their Fourth-Wall Friday on the blog! Cowboys and Vampires and Century old dudes in mud OH MY! I recommend this and the rest of the series to anyone who is tired of the same old vampire myths. It really took on a wonderful twist to the normal myths out there, plus these vampires do not sparkle!
