Today it’s all about the Book.. about the book, no trouble .. ok don’t mind me, I am working through pain medication and am prepping as many posts as I can this week so I can lay in bed again after surgery! I missed a post for one author yesterday and did not get it up till 8PM (about two hours after I dragged my butt out of bed) and as for today’s post? I have been waiting to publish my review for over a month. Today is the REVIEW BLITZ/BLAST for Angela Dennis’ second in her Shadow Born series, FADING LIGHTAngela Dennis was here earlier this year with the first in the series, Shadows of Fate and I posted my latke recipe.  We had a gay ol’ time and I absolutely fell in love with this series.

Discussing PTSD with @IrishWinters1: “Harley”, is fictional, #PTSD is not…

Posted by on Sep 17, 2014 in Books, Featured Posts, Giveaways & Contests, Guest Posts, Lady Reader's Book Stuff | 3 comments

When Amy from Lady Reader’s Bookstuff tours said, “Hey you, I have this great guest post on PTSD from Irish, want to post it on Cabin Goddess?” Silly wench, did she really need to ask? As a PTSD survivor, a former military wife who has experienced and helped so many soldiers through their own hell, I know first hand just how serious of a subject this is. PTSD is not just for soldiers, but I since I usually am talking about just that, how about we focus back on the soldiers, especially since we will be sending troups to Africa soon. Granted it is for helping deal with the Ebola outbreak but still…

The Descendants of Ra: Roman Nicolis Interviewed by @TmoniqueBooks #FourthWallFriday

Posted by on Sep 12, 2014 in Authors, Books, Featured Posts, Fourth-Wall Friday | 0 comments

I have a very special treat for everyone today: Tomonique Stephen’s harassed Roman, one of her characters from Eternity, the first book in the Descendants of Ra series. With the third book, Evermore, about to come out I thought it would be a good fit for a Fourth-Wall Friday treat. I get to create her gorgeous quote graphics and do banners, posters and all sorts of goodies for her so I also am going to share a few of those. Grab your mimosa or tea or early gin and tonic and enjoy the interview with Roman!

Fairygodmother IncWelcome Jenniffer Wardell to August’s final Fourth-Wall Friday. She came once before and accepted an interview ala Cabin Goddess and we had a ball! She also graced us with a  Fairy Godmothers, Inc.-style Potato Salad. This week she she decided to pop in for a visit to see how Kate from Fairy Godmothers, Inc and Hortensia, the pretty talking pig from her short story Huff and Puff woke up a bit lost and far far away from where they were when they went out for karaoke and cocktails the night before the night before…

Urgent Personal Matter a #FourthWallFriday email to @Moha_Doha

Posted by on Aug 21, 2014 in Books, Featured Posts, Fourth-Wall Friday, Indie Projects & Promotions | 0 comments

Mohanalakshmi Rajakumar is no stranger to the blog and has been featured and visited a few times including my review for her latest An Unlikely Goddess & Coloured & Other Stories. Her stories focus on the area of Doha (one of the reasons we call her Moha Doha). Doha is a city in Qatar and the background for two of her novels and a memoir. Everyday is a fourth-wall for Mohana as she picks up on motifs from the exploration of life for housemaids… today it all started from a email marked “Urgent Personal Matter” …

arabesque-dividerFrom the Witchcraft of Writing to 14th Century Medieval England, C.L. Foster is back today for another Fourth-Wall Friday. Being a medievalist I always get a bit of a giggle when I get to play in the realm. Grab a coffee, tea or a glass of meade and yell… HUZZAH! Then… read and enjoy! Please let C.L. Foster know how you liked it!

Two Goddesses walk into a Newsroom… #FourthWallFriday with @LynneCantwell

Lynne Cantwell has been on Fourth-Wall Friday three other times. Each time she has an epic time and everyone is highly amused. The best part? We have been having her here since the Pipe Woman Chronicles and now we are on the third book of her Land, Sea Sky series. I am excited once again, and to continue from their run in from W. End Alexandra, VA… Tess and Lynne have a chat over… corn?? Oh just pass me a double Irish Coffee, this is going to get bumpy. I think I saw a Raven somewhere earlier and that usually means…
