It’s that time of year again. The day where we are “suppose” to get to sit on our asses, have breakfast brought to us in bed (even if it is lumpy oatmeal and burnt toast we will eat it and love it because they .. the ones we have spawned, made it for us!

The #SteamPunk Look through Makeup! A SteamPunk #Halloween #SteamPunkGoggles by @LAStory

This wonderful post is from Stevie Wilson, one of my Steampunk’d co-conspirators in this delightful month of #steampunk’d goodness! Reblogged from her fashionista blog of I am thrilled to have her permission to reblog it! Check out this one and more over at her blog, ohhh and she has great taste in nailpolish… what color would go best with a #steampunk out fit?

The #SteamPunk Look through Makeup! A SteamPunk #Halloween #SteamPunkGoggles by @LAStory

I am thinking the brass works!

What does steampunk mean to you? Literary genre? Fashion? Cos-play? Live action roll play (LARP)? OR would you wear them around the neighborhood to mess with peoples heads (this is what I am going for, however.. I do like that nail art and the tips below!)

This post is about the SteamPunk trend that I have been blogging and tweeting about. The beautiful part about this campaign is I was able to explore an emerging trend that actually fit into my life quite easily. Little did I know that I had more “SteamPunk” going on than I thought! Realizing that and knowing my boots, hats, gloves, quirky jewelry, shredded denim and more interesting fashion choices fit neatly into this trend. So given that fashion is really about very personal choices, I would suggest that you get to choose your basic outfits for SteamPunk yourself with inspiration from various sites like Pinterest and other spots tied into SteamPunk.

I’ve been #Steampunk’d – books, art, fashion, games & more (part 1 of 4)

I was asked what I thought the Steampunk culture was all about earlier this week… I had to think because it is about many things, but if I were to nail it down to a short and sweet thing.. it would be steampunk is about creation, invention and experimenting with specific styles…

For the next three weeks I am going to be having spotlights, articles, editorials and commentaries centered around Steampunk. Much of my focus in sub-cultures has been centered around the garb (clothing), food and photography. Be it Steampunk, cyberpunk and medieval reinactment (SCA). I have always been fascinated with the ideology of “punk” defining a sub-culture. Being partnered to an actual Punk musician has allowed for a much broader learning base than just dress up, eat and be merry. Steampunk itself for me was an easy win. I already was in love with the literature. Plus, I can admit I like pretties, and there are a few pretties I am especially fond of. Hats, corsets and eye-wear (on top of my flip-flop obsession, my sunglasses and other eye-wear collection is something to behold)…

Guess what are the top three things in a steampunks steamer trunk?

Cakegasms, stripping & guns #Interview & a recipe with @CLFoster1

Posted by on Jul 6, 2013 in Books, Cabin Cooking, Dessert, Fun, Interviews & Interviews with Recipes, Writing | 5 comments

Happy Birthday Christy!

I am thrilled to have CL Foster here today! She took my interview and went above and beyond and WOW wait till you see the recipes! So I decided to “make” her a cake, just a wee one.. because today she is having a birthday and she gave us her first book Bluffing the Devil for FREE on her birthday and now? It is still a great deal at 99¢!!

Taste the Devil... err Bluff the Devil

CG –Tweet the book: You are challenged to tweet a synopsis of the book to include your tweet handle, GO!  Hey readers, do me a favor and tweet the blast! She has a birthday… TODAY! Plus her book is free! TWO tweets for you to share!

Sassy chick, #demon #dreams #sexy #angels. The devil & high-stakes #paranormal #poker Could you win?

CG – Introduce yourself to the captive audience that you now have before you. (As in tell us something NOT in your bio, give us a dirty little secret not having or having to do with your writing)

CLF – Hmmm… a dirty little secret? I once worked in a bar.. that was a strip club.. a male review. Yeah. I was friends with a bunch of male strippers and wore a white tank top to work every night and raked in tons of tips using my smile and my tatas. Thank goodness I don’t rely on those anymore! Or do I? 😉

CGIs there a genre, other than the one you currently write in, that you wish you could break into? (If you want you can – I would love it if you did – a max flash fiction of no more that 500 with the prompt of “LIGHT” since summer is almost here (Yes this could work with romance, mystery, humour, textbooks on quantum physics.. own it, title it and GO!)

CLF – I’m mostly writing paranormal currently, but I would kind of like to write a crime-thriller. I’ve been plotting and thinking. I might do it! Who knows!? I also have a few based-on-true-events stories brewing in my mind as well. We will see how that goes!

Flash fiction you ask? Well… as you wish!! Though I find it interesting that you used the word “light” when that is one of the key elements of my main character in Bluffing the Devil. When you read it.. you will understand! hehe
