Welcome to the last week of hardcore baking time before the fat man cometh! Mama’s Kitchen Mondays has a special treat! I have a special guest who wrote this lovely little Novelette, Christmas at the Gingerbread Cafe, a sweet and savory contemporary romance. When I saw this I thought how fun to do a review for my recipe feature! After reading the story I knew exactly what recipe I was going to do! Heck they even make almost the same one in the story. On Christmas, heck anytime between fall and the new year, I love Gingerbread coffee. My grandmother introduced it to me and this is a holiday season tradition you will find in my fridge!

Vampires Code by Celia Breslin

I pride myself at being able to review a short story, this one is 4,000 words and has left me with a big challenge. So I thought it would also be fun to have the author give us even more teasers about the vampires of HAVEN, the full length novel this story prequels. Plus it’s a Monday, and well I love having food on Mondays so how about a tiny bit of a .. nibble.. I mean this story is a tease, so why not give you a bit of a tease for food? How about I give you a BITE to eat! Then you can read my review, her top ten things about the vampires of Haven and also have a shot at a great giveaway!

Mama’s Kitchen Mondays – Dystopia Diner with line cook @HiJayPosey

I always ask authors “If your book was a meal what would it be? Meat and potatoes? Vegetarian? A light nouveau cuisine?” “Three” is an amazing dystopic read set with your desolate post-apocalyptic backdrop of falling down buildings, and monsters lurking in the night. Technology accessible after the Collapse, but at times dangerous to use. On the grid or off the grid, how about today we stop at the Dystopia Diner for Mama’s Kitchen Monday’s Faire!
