Merry Ho Ho’s & #Cookies from the #CabinGoddess

Ho_hoesIt has been one hell of a year. I am struggling to get my feet back from under me. My life has been turned so topsy turvy and I have had such struggles and challenges, one is the end of my way of life as i have known it for the last 11 years. I have great sadness, great amounts of happiness, fun etc… but the thing is, I have been hiding. Hiding behind a game, a little micro-community. I hid who I was, tried to be on the down-low, but as many of you who know me, it is really hard to hide Kriss. I tend to sparkle everywhere, much like many of you are sparkling today on Christmas. I need your help to get back on track. I would love to have you all poke at me, and If you want to friend me on Facebook, tell me what to read and follow my Facebook page for Cabin Goddess also.

Welcome to the last week of hardcore baking time before the fat man cometh! Mama’s Kitchen Mondays has a special treat! I have a special guest who wrote this lovely little Novelette, Christmas at the Gingerbread Cafe, a sweet and savory contemporary romance. When I saw this I thought how fun to do a review for my recipe feature! After reading the story I knew exactly what recipe I was going to do! Heck they even make almost the same one in the story. On Christmas, heck anytime between fall and the new year, I love Gingerbread coffee. My grandmother introduced it to me and this is a holiday season tradition you will find in my fridge!

Rosettes - cabingoddess.com recipeI love baking for Yule and Christmas! I have not been able to do this year everything I would like too, but since we get to spend Christmas at the Ninja Warming station on Fort Hood (the folks who kept us safe during the winter storm and who I made special Frostie Floats for), I will get to bake more than I expected. HOWEVER, I usually do but these little dandies which are one of my favorites!

Welcome Aiden Truss, author of a new horror novel GAPE from Siren’s Call! He braved the sea to come visit me in my wee cabin in the woods! Having been sick this week, I had to scramble and do some last minute cleaning but I think we are going to have a good time.
