Here is the thing…

I have started over a lot, like a lot. For crying out loud, girlfriends and boyfriends, I have had so many changes happen in the last three years. The things I regret over that last year would be neglecting my blog, my lifeline and my passion… SO, I really am sorry I have neglected my blog and all of you amazing readers. I want to talk about a few things that have happened over the next few months, and I know I have shared but many of you may not know what has happened. Of course my favorite story involves a health and welfare check a week before I left (I used defenestrate with an AT&T rep after he was an ass-hat… it also involved using The Force to do so… I am not sure why he was so upset, but the State Trooper was awesome about it… excuse the typos, again… my damn phone… he he he)

Ho_hoesIt has been one hell of a year. I am struggling to get my feet back from under me. My life has been turned so topsy turvy and I have had such struggles and challenges, one is the end of my way of life as i have known it for the last 11 years. I have great sadness, great amounts of happiness, fun etc… but the thing is, I have been hiding. Hiding behind a game, a little micro-community. I hid who I was, tried to be on the down-low, but as many of you who know me, it is really hard to hide Kriss. I tend to sparkle everywhere, much like many of you are sparkling today on Christmas. I need your help to get back on track. I would love to have you all poke at me, and If you want to friend me on Facebook, tell me what to read and follow my Facebook page for Cabin Goddess also.

The Springs of New Beginnings – Where it all begins #mondayblogs

Posted by on Nov 16, 2015 in Cabin Commentary, Featured Posts | 1 comment

Happy thoughts are tricky at times. Depending on where your head is, sometimes you just cannot see your way to happy. Sometimes your brain just won’t let you be. Then you remember you have something that you can be happy about, maybe it is just those new pair of oven mitts, or the new person you just met, or even your grandmothers locket around your neck, and you find a smile. From there, it is like a spring finding its way to the surface. Your happiness begins bubbling, and if you keep encouraging it, it begins to push its way past whatever you have had blocking it, and pouring into your world at the moment. It really is what you make of it.

Recognizing my Privilege as a #Ciswoman – Discussing #Transgender Issues (part 1 of many)

73347623Standing before my mirror naked is an exercise I do to examine my flaws, learn to accept them and to remind myself how lucky I am. I am a Ciswoman*. Born with the ability to bring forth life and be recognized as a woman. I have been blessed with five children, so I am also what the damndable urban dictionary and the high and mighty human race elitist have coined ‘breeder‘. I may not be Christian but I do believe the Goddess blessed me to be the vessel of these five children because the world would be a less bright place without them. But as I stand here, looking at my scars from surgery, seeming my breasts, sliding my hands down to my pelvis and tracing the c-section scars to my hips which bore those amazing children, I am also reminded about my own blessing. To be born into privilege, one that these days is becoming a burden at times.
