Lenore Skomal (my new foodie hero) oh! and author of BLUFF

Lenore Skomal award winning author of BLUFF

*BOUNCING WITH JOY* I have Lenore, I have Lenore.. she is on my website *squeeling*

OK I know I am a crazed silly Alaskan woman stuck in a cabin and maybe I can be a bit cabin feverish, but Bluff has been sitting here in my MUST read for ME list and I was so excited to read it and now her on my blog *bouncing more*. I have been reading interviews, and talked to my friends and I almost managed to hang with her in a writing sprint the other day. Plus have you been to her website? I mean seriously, this is someone I get to say, “I was exposed and hung onto the coat-tails when .. she was on my blog!” *giggling* OK seriously *drawing down my serious face mask* This is great, this interview is awesome and Lenore rocks! I hope you grab the book and read it. Bluff is amazing, the next one will be even better (almost here!! almost here!!) and after reading the interview she sent me I have a feeling she is going to have a new fan base. Though I hope she forgives me for all you crazy freaks that read me … Kidding.. kidding none of you are crazy!! *giggling*

Meet Shaunda Wenger one of the “MAKE MINE AN ORANGEBERRY” Nine Women of Indie

Welcome to my 9th victim guest and also part of Orangeberry’s Trick or Treat 2012.

Lindsey J. Parsons

MAKE MINE AN ORANGEBERRY sprang up when I asked if anyone wanted to be interviewed on the planning board for Orangeberry Tours, the participants of this community have been a plethora of festiveness! It is the last week, I am sad, and I will be doing a lot of reviewing too this week so I hope you can read it all and enjoy it!

Introduce yourself to the captive audience that you now have before you. (As in tell us something NOT in your bio, give us a dirty little secret not having or having to do with your writing)

Ummm, not in my bio? How about, I always wear cowboy boots because they are sooo comfortable and as I have such narrow feet it’s impossible to find shoes that fit or I have a dragon living on my roof. These aren’t really secrets though, so something only a few close and trusted friends know. Well, I love chocolate (doesn’t everyone?) but the lactose in the milk stuffs my head up so badly it makes me snore. This is a major problem, do I stay off chocolate (I know… impossible!) so that my head gets clear and the snoring stops or do I stuff myself silly like I want to and ruin any chance of ever finding someone who would happily sleep in my bed?

Of course, now I’ve told you this I am going to have to kill you.

Welcome to my 8th victim guest and also part of Orangeberry’s Trick or Treat 2012. She really took a chance with me, but she is a great sport, and I adore this interview. November has really shaped up to having some extremely high quality interviews, and they are still coming.  I have three great reviews coming this week too.

Kiss Me Quick … In memory of Jacqui Magar

Guy Magar shares with his readers there are such things as fairy tales..

In Memory of Jacqui Magar

Guy and Jacqui Magar on their wedding day

Forever in Camelot Guy and Jacqui Magar on their wedding day

Last month I posted an interview with Guy Magar in which he discusses his latest project, the memoir of his days and life in the film industry. This past weekend, on the 3rd November 2012, his wife Jacqui, for whom the book dedicated and written for, passed away. I am in the middle of reading the book for my own pleasure and had just read about his proposal and fairy tale wedding to Jaqui. (which you can read a small excerpt of here) and upon hearing of his loss I felt moved to re-post my interview in its entirety.

Any love lost in the world is a loss for all. Guy captured but a small corner of his life and love of his wife within the pages of his book “Kiss Me Quick Before I Shoot” and shared with us all just a peek at his own magic from this love.

Laxmi Hariharan

MAKE MINE AN ORANGEBERRY sprang up when I asked if anyone wanted to be interviewed on the planning board for Orangeberry Tours. Laxmi jumped on board even though she taking time to participate in another author spotlight for Fourth-Wall Friday. The timing could not have been perfect a small taste of things to come in book two and than coming on board to share some festivities here! I really am glad she decided to come aboard, score one for the Cabin! I ended up having a lot of fun because she sent me all but one of these images, I love authors like this! Considering we had a neighbor have their roof collapse, being stuck with all five of her cats (Asrielle was NOT thrilled, and writing my first NaNoWriMo novel it is a treat to share her and her wiggle wiggle wiggle wiggle with you!

Join me as I welcome my fifth victim guest (though the first to jump off the cliff,  as we discuss, her book, her secrets, her passions, and the beauty of her shines forth with a light even stronger than her sun!

Join me as we ask a few odd and fun and clever questions to the author of this recently The Generosity of Strangers: When War Came to Fornelli.
