Merry Ho Ho’s & #Cookies from the #CabinGoddess
It has been one hell of a year. I am struggling to get my feet back from under me. My life has been turned so topsy turvy and I have had such struggles and challenges, one is the end of my way of life as i have known it for the last 11 years. I have great sadness, great amounts of happiness, fun etc… but the thing is, I have been hiding. Hiding behind a game, a little micro-community. I hid who I was, tried to be on the down-low, but as many of you who know me, it is really hard to hide Kriss. I tend to sparkle everywhere, much like many of you are sparkling today on Christmas. I need your help to get back on track. I would love to have you all poke at me, and If you want to friend me on Facebook, tell me what to read and follow my Facebook page for Cabin Goddess also.
But, today is Christmas and I wanted to share a few things. One, my favorite memories for the holidays, and one I shared with my mom is baking cookies. As a Scandinavian family member, learning how to make cookies was so important. Spritz, Krumkake… and one of the hardest ones, Rosettes. Not just because they are tasty, but because it was done with family. I sit here alone today, cup of coffee, watching Netflix and wondering what the New Year will bring. Enjoy this recipe gift, and Please, have a wonderful rest of the holidays, we all need hope, even if things seem wonderful right now. I plan on making them this weekend.
