Parlor Tricks

Oh I am such a tease! This is so not for your family, unless they are old enough to be freaked out! Twisted fun indeed from the teasing short story released on June 3rd. I held off as long as I could to read this because the full fourteen story anthology comes out this week on the 23rd.

Clown Disguise Before I read this I made sure I put on my clown disguise so the bad, mean, evil clowns that are bound to be in a book that has CARNIE in the title! So glad that Jessica from Jess Resides Here sent me my own special clown nose!

I love free things! Free coffee, free cookies, and of course free short stories! This one is a sampler and twisted tease for the upcoming collection of Carnipunk. This tease is a funky little story that is a bit horrifying. Jennifer Estep’s Elemental Assassin series, Gin Blanco (the Spider) and her sister the cop, Bianca.

It is pretty basic; missing kid.. carnival..though there is nothing basic about a carnival, not even in this day and age.. (I cannot see or say that word without it being pronounced CarniVAUL because of HBO’s epic series), and of course there is something dark and malevolent with the Big Wig at the Big Top. Is it fantastic? Well you be the judge, I really enjoyed the quick flash of a tease, of course I always would rather have the peak of an ankle than the full monty, leaves more to the imagination!

What’s your #WeeklyShorts?

Weekly ShortsMy father used to read short stories and anthologies. He never had time to finish books while running a law firm. He taught me the value of a weekend read. #WeeklyShorts is a weekly meme to share a story you can read on the weekend which is also short on your wallet! This weeks was FREE! You cannot get better than that!

  1. Got it! 🙂 Aaargh, now to find the time to read it, but since it’s a short and I have no obligation to review it, I can sneak it in between my must read and review schedule to read it just because I want a leisurely read for me. 🙂

  2. Eek the nose the nose I love the nose. Just wait till you see then next present I send you 🙂

  3. You scored a copy of this one? I’m so jealous! I’ll have to buy it when it comes out!!
