Time – Just Another Four Letter Word

Over the last 24 years (since my first child was born) I have been constantly looking for ways to find time to do things. Time management is key to being able to do the things I did and do and manage to stay on top of it all. How I managed to do any of it,  and not drown in stress is amazing! When I moved to Alaska I found out in the summer there is really more than 24-hours in a day. With the sun always up, I seemed to always get things done, but by September I collapsed with exhaustion.

As authors we are always trying to find time to write, to play, to work and spend time with the family. When you are working in the Indie world it also means doing the “Social Media Hop”, where is the time to do something unplugged? I spend over 16 hours a day working on my own work and everyone else’s I support and work for. When do I find the time for me? I have to remember to take time for myself or like my first September in Alaska, I will find myself not being able to work at all.

On that note, this is my 600th post. On January 1st, 2012 I posted my 100th. This means in a 13 1/2 months I wrote 500 posts, I am blown away I found the time to do so! Sheesh, I should have taken notes!

  1. Congratulations on your 600th blog post! I’m nearing 300 on my Skinny Dreaming blog and only nearing 200 on my Imagine! Create! Write! blog. Finding time for writing of any kind is such a challenge!

  2. Wow! I’ve been blogging for over 4 years and haven’t hit 500 posts yet. I still have no idea how you do all that you do without having a stress meltdown 🙂

  3. Congrats on your 600th! I don’t see how you do it and make them all pretty and share them all! I might could do it if I didn’t have so many other things to do or if I slowed down time to a crawl!

  4. First, get rid of husband, children, pets, parents. Don’t mow the lawn, or do the washing. Ignore the postman and the neighbours. Don’t shower or brush your teeth. Stay in your pyjamas. That way, finding time to write will be a doddle 🙂

  5. Well done on your 600th post, Kriss. It’s amazing how soon they build up.

  6. That’s an amazing amount of posts. You definitely have the secret to time management or even stopping time lol. I tend to write in the evening once everything is done and Hubby watching his crap on TV. Of course all the school holidays help 😉 x

  7. Congratulations on your 600th post, Kriss! That’s an amazing achievement!
