Baked Alaska – Cozy Mystery rolled up in a Crepe

Posted by on Feb 27, 2013 in Authors, Breakfast, Cabin Cooking, Giveaways & Contests, Review & a Recipe, Reviews | 0 comments

This is what I get when I schedule tours when I am not feeling 100%, I get a week full of books and reviews. I started off this week with a book which I had great expectations for, being a James Rollins fan.. it fell flat on it’s face and I ended up with a comment circus with the author staging a siege, today’s reviews are for two fantastic books, thank all that is holy! Two books that take mystery, thrillers and suspense in two different directions.

@TravisSimmons5 Cover Revealed by a Cover Whore

Posted by on Feb 26, 2013 in Authors, Books, Indie Projects & Promotions | 3 comments

I love cover reveals! Covers draw most readers to a book in the beginning. We all can pound our chests and say, “I never judge a book by it’s cover” but let’s face it, we are like moths to a flame, and when a book cover is HOT we flock to the flame and burn up in the glory… ok maybe I am being a bit dramatic… just a little bit. I love cover art, I am proud card-carrying cover whore! Today’s reveal is by Travis Simmons, not just the book itself by the cover art. Bravo! I know how hard it is to design your own cover. I just went through it myself, thankfully I found someone to paint an image from my photograph! But back to today’s wonderful image! Ta-DA!

Hey Andrew, glad you could stop by the Cabin on President’s Day. With both of your thrilling mystery’s it is a perfect day to visit! Did you see the interview earlier? I had the author of Hilly Billy serial killer, what is more American than that? And now you? How about you introduce yourself to the captive audience that you now have before you. (As in tell us something NOT in your bio, give us a dirty little secret not having or having to do with your writing)
