Dog Days of Summer Sale: 3 Authors, 3 Books, 3 Bucks STARTS TODAY!
DOG DAYS OF SUMMER SALE!
It is TIME everyone! Today starts the Dog Days of Summer Sale with these three wonderful authors! I plan on featuring them each day of the same with their own individual posts and will also be helping out Coral with The Indie Exchange’s Blog Talk Radio in a special interview with all three of these amazing women today at 2 PM Eastern! Hope to see you there! Meanwhile so you all are aware this is what will be going on for the next three days! Later on this morning I have my first feature with Ann Charles,
Three Great Books, Three Great Ladies, Three Single Bucks!
This is really brilliant! These three awesome ladies have teamed up and are offering their books to you for only 99 cents. But wait, honestly do you think in this day and age that would be it? Oh hell no! We have Three uniquely different and excellent books perfect for a day at the beach. Each book bringing you such things as snark to the ‘nth degree from Rachel Thompson’s second #1 best-selling novel, The Mancode Exposed. To Terri Giuliano Long‘s In Leah’s Wake, recently awarded the 2012 IndieReader Discovery Award for Literary Fiction. A story that will shake you to your roots whether you are raising teenagers or remember being one. And the paranormal adventures from one of my personal favorite authors who I am pretty sure was my first Indie purchase, Ann Charles. Nearly Departed in Deadwood. This first book of the Deadwood series won the 2010 Daphne du Maurier for Excellence in Mystery/ Suspense and the 2011 RWA Golden Heart Award for Best Novel with Strong Romantic Elements. Ann brings you a real heroine who reminds me a bit of myself. She has twins, a chicken named Elvis and despite her great taste in men, wonderful taste in footwear and ice cream flavors, (Doc, purple cowboy boots and peanut butter fudge), probably should not be investigating without being wrapped in flame retardant bubble wrap (which if you are a follower of my social media links know I need to be doing!) So mark it in your calendar, add it to your daily alarm clock for the 11-13, this is going to be one heck of a grand event .. oh did I mention the books are only 99¢ each?
Little girls are vanishing from Deadwood, South Dakota. Fearing her daughter might be next, single mom, Violet Parker, is desperate to find the monster behind the abductions. With her savings dwindling and just three weeks left to sell her first house or lose her Realtor job, Violet is ecstatic when a handsome jeweler hires her to sell his century-old, Victorian masterpiece, until she sees the dilapidated dwelling. Now, if she could just convince her only buyer to stop rejecting vintage homes as if they’re haunted.
Short on time and long on worry, she refuses to give up her dream of a fresh start in Deadwood. But with a malicious coworker trying to get her fired, a secret admirer sending her creepy messages, and a sexy stranger hiding skeletons in his closet, will Violet end up as one of Deadwood’s dearly departed?
The Tylers have a perfect life-beautiful home, established careers, two sweet and talented daughters. Their eldest daughter, Leah, an exceptional soccer player, is on track for a prestigious scholarship. Their youngest, Justine, more responsible than seems possible for her 12 years, just wants her sister’s approval. With Leah nearing the end of high school and Justine a seemingly together kid, the parents are set to enjoy a peaceful life…until Leah meets Todd, a high school dropout and former roadie for a rock band.
As Leah’s parents fight to save their daughter from a world of drugs, sex, and wild parties, their divided approach drives their daughter out of their home and a wedge into their marriage. Meanwhile, twelve-year-old Justine observes her sister’s rebellion from the shadows of their fragmented family-leaving her to question whether anyone loves her and if God even knows she exists. Can this family survive in Leah’s wake? What happens when love just isn’t enough?
- ‘I’m over forty. I don’t have a blankie. I have vodka.’
- Author note: this is not a book of advice, how-to, or self-help. She deconstructs stereotypes with satire. Totally different concept.
- ‘I write about men, women, sex, & chocolate. My experiences, my truth, my martinis.’
- *Note: Thompson employs hashtags (i.e., the # sign) in her collection. Google it. These are not typos, people #deargod.
- Looking for a humorous take on family relationships or love and romance? Look no further.
