Earlier this month I was approached by the author, Kevin Krohn and asked to review his book. At first I thought, “Dang it why this month! I have no time…” then I opened the e-mail and read this:

If I had to use two words to describe this post I would probably use: give away & signed books

“Harrowing cries escaped the contorted faces of our flock. End of Days was a known truth but never a faced reality. Once the madness broke…we feared it would never subside.” A thrilling tale of horror from Kevin Krohn, “Latter-Day of the Dead” tells the story of a hallowed compound’s fight for survival against unbridled evil.

He had me at polyamist zombies when he wrote me to ask if I would review the book. When I read the prologue and there was a zombie stripper I was so excited to finish reading it!

Earlier today I posted the review and now the author Kevin Krohn and I present the chance to win one of two signed paperbacks of this fantastic addition to the huge and growing horror sub-genre of zombies. Take a chance and learn what these two words describe …

I have mentioned before of my fear of sharks due to my wonderful father scrambling my brain by bringing me to see JAWS in the movie theatre. Actually the idea of giant octopuses scares me more because I have re-occurring dream about being yanked beneath the waves by one. On that note, I bring you the trailer for the soon to be released POSEIDON’S CHILDREN  by Michael West with some very special and limited art work by Matt Perry.

AND TODAY… my man in a FedEx van brought me this PRETTY box from Amazon. It is the first hardback book that was not for school .. that was just for FUN .. in a LONG time. I am just drooling and so EXCITED to read it! I have so many books to read for obligations and that I promised and THAT I WANT to read, but this one? this one was truly one that I needed to be a “waiting on” book if I had been doing the meme than.

The only reason I even knew about was because of great book bloggers like April (over at My Shelf Confessions) teased me on Valentines day  about this book. It grabbed my attention first with the cover. When I looked it up over at Goodreads and Amazon I was NEEDING to read the book. Most of you already know that I am a complete push over for a few things… bacon … zombies …. and postapocalyptic books (dystopian and pandemic fall hard into this category) People in my life up here in Alaska also know that I will tell you to “SHUT THE FRAK UP” when BSG is on. (if you are confused than you do not need to know what I am talking about) …

Then end of the rambling story is ..
